Lady Gaga has urged fans in Malaysia to protest over her lyrics being censored.
Malaysian radio stations are playing edits of her Born This Way single because they fear fines if they broadcast lyrics which promote acceptance of gay people.
Speaking at a Google's Californian HQ, Gaga said it was fans' "duty as young people to have their voices heard".
In the song she sings "no matter gay, straight or bi, lesbian trans gendered life, you were born this way".
As she called for protests she added: "You must do everything that you can if you want to be liberated by your society, you must call, you must not stop, you must protest peacefully."
'Directorial debut'
Fans had turned up at the event outside San Francisco to ask Gaga questions, with many arriving dressed as her.
She talked at length about her new album, and revealed she would be co-directing the video for the next single, Judas.
"I will be making my directorial debut with Laurieann Gibson, we're directing this video ourselves.
Gaga told fans her new record would be "avant-garde techno rock"
"Expect to see some biblical symbolism - the song is about honouring your darkness in order to bring yourself into the light.
"But it's also really fun to dance to," she laughed.
She went on to explain how the forthcoming Born This Way album would be a techno record with "Def Leppard style" rock choruses.
"I would call it avant-garde techno rock. There's a lot of rock influences on the album but it's not a rock record.
"It's electronic dance music, it's very hard and very edgy and I'm very excited for you to hear it," she said.
In between explaining her love of yoga and cooking, she also said she believed women got a "bad rap" in pop music.
"People have learned to expect very little of us, so I think me and my body and my brain are very proud to be here today," she said.
And she revealed how her dad had asked her not to get any tattoos on the right side of her body.
"I think he sees one side as my Marilyn Monroe side and the other as my Iggy Pop side," she said.
